Aurora Firefly XL Octa 65 cm Kit for Aurora/Bowens FXL65SBW

The Aurora FXL65SBW kit contains a Firefly XL octa softbox, 65 cm in diameter, with a built-in adapter ring for Aurora/Bowens flash heads, together with an inner diffuser, an outer diffuser and a carrying bag. Its octagonal shape and quick setup make it well suited to outdoor portraits, with soft, wrap-around, evenly diffused light. A high-quality handmade soft grid, available as an option, narrows the light spread to 40 degrees.

Thanks to its one-touch umbrella mechanism, Firefly XL sets up like an umbrella in about a minute, and the built-in speedring saves the time needed to assemble a softbox with a separate speedring. It comes with two diffusers, inner and outer: the light bounces from the diffusers back into the softbox and then out through the diffusers again onto the subject, giving very even light that also works well as fill light for outdoor portraits. The optional DFS20 deflector (20 cm, sold separately) mounts on the central rod and reflects the light back into the softbox, removing potential hot spots; its embossed silver surface gives more even reflected light.
