The Aurora Video Plus VPIA68 (60 x 80 cm) belongs to the VPIA series, an improved version of the VBIA VideoBox line with greater durability and compatibility with standard film-industry accessories. All materials are chosen for continuous lights, so they last without fading or scorching. The softbox uses three heat-resistant fabrics: a black/silver high-temperature fabric for the collar, which is most exposed to the heat of the lamp; a heat-resistant inner baffle that does not discolour or yellow after long exposure; and heat-resistant Velcro around the collar and inner diffuser.
Two ventilation windows on the sides cool the continuous light unit and can be fully open, partly open or closed. The four rod pockets are lined with sturdy leather so the rods cannot work loose over time. Three front diffusers (1 stop, 1/2 stop and 1/4 stop) are included, the softbox accepts standard accessories from Chimera Lighting and Lighttools of matching size, and 40° honeycomb grids are available. The carrying bag has two extra pockets for the speed ring and other accessories.
