The Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2:1 Ultra-Macro APO offers up to 2x magnification, twice that of most 100 mm macro lenses, which stop at life size (1:1). The extended range lets you photograph subjects of different sizes, such as insects, with much more detail. It is the second 2:1 macro lens in the Laowa range after the 60mm f/2.8.
Its apochromatic optical design keeps longitudinal chromatic aberration practically invisible in both in-focus and out-of-focus areas. The lens also focuses to infinity and works well as a portrait lens, with sharp rendering and soft bokeh. This Canon EF version is fully manual: focus and aperture are set with the rings on the lens and no EXIF data are transmitted.
