Washburn Comfort G66SCE Spalt Maple Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar WCG66SCE-O
Washburn Comfort Series guitars combine looks and ergonomics: their armrest lets the guitar follow the body rather than dig into it, for comfortable playing seated or standing. This Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric has a Venetian cutaway for upper-fret access and a deluxe recurved armrest bevel at the lower bout that becomes part of the mahogany top binding.
The G66SCE combines a solid Canadian Western Red Cedar soundboard with spalted maple back and sides: the warmth of cedar and the focus of maple give a balanced, distinctive voice. A maple/mahogany/maple strip splits the book-matched spalted maple back. The satin-finished mahogany neck has an Ovangkol fingerboard without inlays, matched by a mahogany-bound Ovangkol bridge. The body and headstock are bound in mahogany/maple, the headstock carries a mother-of-pearl Washburn logo and 18:1 tuners, and the Parquet-style rosette alternates maple and mahogany. A Fishman Presys+ 501T active preamp with integrated tuner provides amplified sound.
