The AJA DRM2-Plus is a 3RU rackmount frame for professionally mounting and powering AJA Mini-Converters. This configuration (DRM2-PLUS-A2) has a active faceplate with four fans and a redundant power supply. The frame holds 12 standard-size Mini-Converters, up to 24 smaller converters such as FiDO, HA5-Plus, Hi5-Plus, V2Analog and V2Digital (with the optional DRM2-YC Y-cable), or up to 6 next-generation models such as DANTE-12GAM, IP25-R and UDC-4K (with the optional DRM2-PLUS-CX cable or DRM2-PLUS-6X harness).
A hinged front panel gives access to the converters, which can be installed or removed without taking the frame out of the rack. Twelve modular carriers are included and can be accessed from the front or rear of the chassis. The active fan-cooled faceplate suits higher wattage converters and higher ambient temperatures, such as on location or on set. The redundant power supply is intended for mission-critical broadcasts and live productions.
