AJA ColorBox In-line HDR/SDR Algorithmic and LUT Color Transforms
AJA ColorBox is a color management device designed for the color conversion and color correction needs of broadcast, live events and on-set applications. It supports HDR, SDR and Wide Color Gamut (WCG) signals and uses 12G-SDI for single-wire 4K/UltraHD up to 4:2:2 10-bit 60p or 4:4:4 12-bit 30p, with down-conversion. Latency of less than half a video line makes it suited to color-managed live productions.
The AJA Color Pipeline is built around a 33-point 3D LUT processor with tetrahedral interpolation, plus four 1D LUTs and two 3x3 matrices, each individually configurable or convertible to Proc Amps or RGB color correctors, all managed via a web user interface over wired Ethernet. ColorBox also includes Colorfront, NBCU LUTs and ACES pipelines, with ACES Metadata File (AMF) support built on OpenColorIO, and offers licensable upgrades: Colorfront Engine, BBC HLG LUTs and ORION-CONVERT.
