The ATTO XstreamCORE 8200 is a 40Gb Ethernet to 12Gb SAS intelligent bridge that connects virtually any device, from JBODs, JBOFs and RAID arrays to tape and optical storage, and shares it remotely over Ethernet. It reaches up to 6 GB/s sustained transfer rate and up to 1.1 million 4K IOPS per bridge with 2 µs end-to-end latency.
xCORE acceleration technology removes bottlenecks, the eCORE control engine adds common open storage services, and XstreamVIEW Storage Manager provides remote configuration, management and diagnostics. It supports SSDs, HDDs and tape (drives and libraries), and the name indicates rack-mount hardware and dual power supplies.
