BirdDog Flex 4K BACKPACK NDI Encoder BDFLEXBP

Flex 4K BACKPACK encodes an HDMI source to Full NDI and is designed to mount behind a camera-top monitor/recorder: its NP-style battery connection supplies up to 15 W, so it can encode NDI, power the monitor and record at the same time. A 12 V DC output (15 W max) can also power other devices.

Flex is BirdDog's compact 4K NDI family, with a footprint only slightly larger than a credit card. It carries video, audio, tally, audio intercom, PTZ control and power over a single Ethernet cable, with PoE+ (802.3at). A thermal design with quiet fans keeps it cool, the integrated tricolour Halo Tally is visible to both camera operator and talent and needs no configuration with NDI production systems, and a 2.5 mm RS-232 (VISCA) port with the optional PTZ cable allows control of a PTZ camera. Settings are made through the embedded web panel, and the RESTful API allows custom automation.
