Blackmagic Design Cinema Camera 6K – 6K full frame L-Mount cinema camera
Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is a handheld cinema camera with a 6048 x 4032 full frame 6K sensor, optical low pass filter, 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO 400 and 3200. It has an active L-Mount and records 12-bit Blackmagic RAW to CFexpress cards or directly to USB-C disks, with real time H.264 proxies.
What the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is for
It is the choice for full frame cinematic images in a traditional, light, ready to shoot camera body: short films, documentaries, commercials, music videos, high end web content. With compatible L-Mount lenses it also has autofocus, with subject and face tracking.
Formats and recording
It shoots 3:2 open gate at 6048 x 4032 up to 36 fps, 6:5 anamorphic, 6K DCI up to 48 fps and 6K 2.4:1 up to 60 fps, plus Super 35 formats. It records to 1 CFexpress Type B slot and to the USB-C port for external disks.
Connections and use
5" 1920 x 1080 touchscreen, HDMI output up to 1080p60, 2 mini XLR audio inputs with phantom power and a 3.5 mm stereo input, built in stereo microphone, precision timecode, NP-F570 batteries.
Software
Every Blackmagic camera includes DaVinci Resolve Studio, the editing, grading, effects and audio software used in film and television, which reads Blackmagic RAW files directly.
Cinema Camera 6K or PYXIS 6K?
They share the same sensor: Cinema Camera 6K is a complete body with a large screen, PYXIS 6K is a box camera to rig with accessories, with 2 CFexpress slots, 12G-SDI output and Ethernet.
