Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Plus G2 packs the features of large studio cameras into a compact portable body: a 4K Four Thirds sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range and Blackmagic cinema camera color science, ISO up to 25,600 for dim venues, a touchscreen with sunshade, tally and rear controls.
What the Studio Camera 4K Plus G2 is for
It is the studio camera for control rooms with ATEM Mini, Television Studio and Constellation: talk shows, churches, events, schools, streaming studios. With Blackmagic Zoom Demand and Focus Demand the operator controls the lens from the tripod handles.
Integration with ATEM switchers
It connects to an ATEM switcher: the program return carries tally, camera control, built in color corrector and lens control, and talkback travels on audio channels 15 and 16. It records Blackmagic RAW to USB-C disks, so the same camera also works for shoots to edit later.

12G-SDI in and out, HDMI output, 2 USB-C ports for external disks and accessories, 3.5 mm stereo input (also timecode), headphone output with mic, built in stereo microphone and speaker, front and rear tally, 600 nit screen. 12V 60W supply, 15-22 W consumption.
How to choose
Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 adds 10G Ethernet with PoE, XLR inputs, a talkback headset connector, direct streaming and a 2000 nit screen; Studio Camera 6K Pro has a 6K Super 35 sensor, EF mount and ND filters.
