Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter lets you work with remote cameras up to 2 km from the studio or OB truck using SMPTE fiber. It converts SDI video, audio and camera control into a single optical fiber cable connected to a Camera Fiber Converter on the camera; everything travels as standard IP with very low latency and broadcast quality.
What the Studio Fiber Converter is for
It provides 12G-SDI for an HD or Ultra HD camera feed and 3 independent HD returns, with standard connections for camera control, PTZ, two dual channel intercoms, tracker talkback, tally and a 5" LCD for monitoring camera and return feeds.
