The Kaiser Book Cradle 45/30 holds bound originals flat for digitization and copy work. A lockable pressure plate in 6 mm extra white float glass, anti-reflection coated on both sides for high colour neutrality and residual reflection below 0.5%, is easily released via guides on both sides and locks in the open position. Two foam-padded platforms of 30 x 45 cm each leave an adjustable gap for spines of different sizes. Height is set once with a crank-driven spindle for optimum pressure; after that, pressure is controlled automatically after each page turn, with quick release and return to the previous pressure. A folding support bracket holds large books up to 90 x 60 cm while single pages are placed under the plate.
