Hybrid AOC (Active Optical Cable) fibre cable connecting two DisplayPort devices, carrying audio and video over long distances.

For example, it can connect a PC, notebook, set-top box or Blu-ray player to a DisplayPort display or HDTV.

A DP signal on standard copper cable starts degrading after a few metres.

Keeping high resolutions over long distances is costly and complicated: amplified cables rarely exceed 50 metres and need adjusting, while extenders over network cable need power and custom network cabling.

AOC (Active Optical Cable) cables are the alternative: they reach long distances at very high resolutions, with no power or adjustment needed.

Just connect the two ends to the HDTV and the source, and the link is ready.
