Magewell Control Hub Plus

Control Hub Plus manages up to 50 devices and provides up to 25 stream conversion channels with up to 50 outputs. Magewell Control Hub is browser-based software for centralized management of Magewell IP devices and streams, and the successor to the former Magewell Cloud platform. It supports Ultra Stream and Ultra Encode encoders, Pro Convert encoders, decoders and audio converters, the Modator chassis and modules, USB Fusion and the Director family: from one dashboard you can see the status of all devices, remotely configure parameters, trigger functions and upgrade the firmware of multiple devices in batches. Video from Ultra Stream, Ultra Encode and USB Fusion units can be previewed directly in the interface.

The full editions also convert streams between protocols: you define channels that map one input to one or more outputs and destinations, converting between RTMP, SRT (caller or listener), RTSP and MPEG-TS over UDP or RTP; a channel can also act as an RTMP/SRT streaming server, Ultra Stream and Ultra Encode units can serve as channel inputs and Pro Convert decoders as channel outputs.

Notes

• Software licence: no hardware is supplied. The licence is an activation code (title and serial number) entered in Control Hub under Settings > License; the license page shows an expiration date.
• Control Hub is installed by the user on their own server as a Docker image; only one Control Hub instance can run on the same host. If a licence is registered on a second Control Hub, it becomes valid there and stops working on the first.
• Edition comparison (managed devices / stream conversion channels / outputs): Lite 20 / - / -, Basic 20 / 5 / 20, Plus 50 / 25 / 50, Pro 150 / 50 / 150. A free 14-day trial (5 / 5 / 5) is available from Magewell.
• Customers with a former Magewell Cloud MC 50 licence can migrate free of charge to Control Hub Plus using their original licence code.
