The Manfrotto 526 is a professional video head for ENG and EFP work, combining the features of the Manfrotto 500 series heads with a payload of up to 16 kg. The pan bar has a removable, replaceable rosette, so if the side castings are damaged only a small part needs replacing. Rubber grips give a secure hold, and all controls (pan and tilt locks, tilt drag adjustment) are on the left side, within reach of the free hand.
Fluid drag has three levels (low, medium, high, marked 1, 2 and 3) plus a 0 position without drag for free pan and tilt moves. Continuously adjustable counterbalance suits cameras from 8 to 15 kg. The built-in 100 mm half ball fits tripods with a 100 mm bowl, and a bubble level allows quick levelling. This version comes with one telescopic pan bar.
