The Manfrotto 290 Dual is a 3-section tripod with aluminium leg tubes and top casting for rigidity and durability, designed for hobbyist photographers. Its aluminium leg locking levers are tension-adjustable to counteract wear over time. The patented 90° centre column mechanism lets the column extend vertically or horizontally, and four leg angle positions allow shooting right down to ground level. A rubber leg warmer provides a comfortable grip.

The kit includes the updated 804 3-way photo head with quick release plate, designed for compactness: its retractable levers fold away when not in use, and the ergonomic handles are made of grip-increasing rubber. The head is made of Adapto, a lightweight polymer with high mechanical resistance, for precise framing and solid support of medium-heavy camera equipment.
