The Manfrotto MLH1HS-2 Cold Shoe Tilt Head is the next generation of the MLH1HS Snap Tilt head. The umbrella hole is now angled, so speedlights can be positioned more centrally in the umbrella for a more even light, and the tilt knob has increased locking torque to keep the light angle secure during the shoot. A new locking mechanism allows use with any stand or accessory with a 5/8" (16 mm) spigot.

The spring-loaded counterbalance mechanism prevents attached accessories from falling accidentally. The smart locking ring secures the accessory: unscrew the ring to open the shoe, slide in the accessory and tighten the ring. With a 2 kg payload it supports lightweight flash and LED units, even with a modifier. It is made in Italy.
