The MFTA is a precision mechanical adapter that connects MicroFourThirds cameras (OM System, Panasonic) to current and historical devices fitted with the Novoflex universal A bayonet, such as Novoflex bellows units, medium-format lens adapters and the legendary Novoflex Follow Focus lenses still used by many sports and nature photographers.
The adapter exactly compensates the flange distance difference between lens and camera body, so manual focusing to infinity is possible. No information is transmitted between lens and camera: exposure metering works in aperture-priority or manual mode.
