Roland VC-100UHD 4K Video Scaler

The Roland VC-100UHD is an A/V signal management unit for live events, fixed installations and livestreaming that combines several single-task devices in a compact half-rack design. With the Roland Ultra Scaler on board, the same video processor used in the V-600UHD switcher, it scales and converts a 12G-SDI or HDMI 2.0 source simultaneously to several destinations, such as 4K LED walls, HD displays and recorders, and a USB webcam stream.

Internal YCbCr 4:4:4 10-bit processing keeps the colour and gradation detail of the source, with Rec.601, 709 and 2020 colour gamut, HDR conversion and native DCI 4K resolution. High frame rate sources at 100, 120, 144, 200 and 240 Hz are supported on HDMI. Built-in effects rotate, flip and mirror the image, and the Region of Interest (ROI) function crops up to eight windows from a 4K input, which can be switched with a USB numeric keypad or from a V-160HD switcher over the network. The USB 3.0 output streams uncompressed 1080p without drivers, and the audio section embeds and de-embeds up to 16 input channels with delay on each output. A front-panel graphic LCD shows resolution, frame rate, HDCP, colour space and audio levels.
