The EW-D 835-S SET is a handheld set of the Sennheiser Evolution Wireless Digital series for vocals and speech. It combines the EW-D EM rack receiver with the lightweight EW-D SKM-S handheld transmitter with integrated mute switch, fitted with the MMD 835 microphone module based on the e 835 capsule.

Digital UHF transmission eliminates noise, interference and static bursts, with 134 dB dynamic range and a system latency of 1.9 ms. The Smart Assist app connects via Bluetooth Low Energy for setup and operation, and the automatic scan finds free frequencies with minimal effort. With up to 56 MHz of switching bandwidth the system offers up to 90 channels and 2,240 selectable frequencies, and a transmission range of up to 100 m in ideal conditions. Transmitters run up to 12 hours on the BA 70 rechargeable battery pack or up to 8 hours on two AA batteries. This version works in the R4-9 frequency range (552 - 607.8 MHz).
