The EW-D ME2/835-S SET is the combo set of the Sennheiser Evolution Wireless Digital series: it includes the EW-D EM rack receiver together with both a bodypack and a handheld transmitter. The EW-D SK bodypack transmitter comes with the omni-directional ME 2 clip-on microphone, and the EW-D SKM-S handheld transmitter with mute switch comes with the MMD 835 dynamic cardioid microphone module.

Digital UHF transmission eliminates noise, interference and static bursts, with 134 dB dynamic range and a system latency of 1.9 ms. The Smart Assist app connects via Bluetooth Low Energy for setup and operation, and the automatic scan finds free frequencies with minimal effort. With up to 56 MHz of switching bandwidth the system offers up to 90 channels and 2,240 selectable frequencies, and a transmission range of up to 100 m in ideal conditions. Transmitters run up to 12 hours on the BA 70 rechargeable battery pack or up to 8 hours on two AA batteries. This version works in the U1/5 frequency range (823.2 - 831.8 MHz and 863.2 - 864.8 MHz).
