The EW-D SKM-S BASE SET is the handheld base set of the Sennheiser Evolution Wireless Digital series: it combines the EW-D EM rack receiver with the robust EW-D SKM-S handheld transmitter with metal housing and mute switch, without microphone module, so it can be fitted with the Sennheiser or Neumann capsule best suited to the voice or application.

Digital UHF transmission eliminates noise, interference and static bursts, with 134 dB dynamic range and a system latency of 1.9 ms. The Smart Assist app connects via Bluetooth Low Energy for setup and operation, and the automatic scan finds free frequencies with minimal effort. With up to 56 MHz of switching bandwidth the system offers up to 90 channels and 2,240 selectable frequencies, and a transmission range of up to 100 m in ideal conditions. Transmitters run up to 12 hours on the BA 70 rechargeable battery pack or up to 8 hours on two AA batteries. This version works in the R1-6 frequency range (520 - 576 MHz).
