The Sonnet Echo Express SE IIIe is a compact desktop Thunderbolt to PCIe card expansion system that connects three professional PCIe cards at the same time to Mac, Windows 10 and Linux computers with Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 ports. Smaller than the Echo III Desktop, it still supports nearly every Thunderbolt 3-compatible non-GPU card: its three x8 slots accept PCIe 3.0, 2.0 and 1.1 cards up to 7.75 in long.

There is room for cards with a mating daughter card, such as the RME HDSPe MADI FX, Blackmagic Design DeckLink 4K Extreme and Lynx AES16e 50, and an auxiliary PCIe power connector supports cards that need extra power, such as the AJA Kona 5.
