The Sonnet Allegro Pro USB-C 8-Port PCIe Card fits eight high-performance USB-C ports on a standard full-height bracket, spaced to accept eight cables or USB-C to USB-A adapters. Unlike cards that share one controller among all ports, it uses four USB 3.2 controllers and an x8 PCIe bridge chip so that, in a PCIe 3.0 or 4.0 slot, every port gets full 10 Gbps bandwidth, up to 1000 MB/s even with several drives transferring at once. Ports are powered with protected power delivery, four independent physical connections can be assigned to virtual machines, and the card works well in Thunderbolt expansion systems.
