The Supermicro AOM-S3108M-H8 is a low-profile MegaRAID module with eight internal SAS ports for high-performance storage connectivity, designed for blade systems. It is built on the Broadcom 3108 I/O processor and MegaRAID technology, with a high-performance RAID architecture including hardware RAID 5 and 6, for cost-effective storage with SATA drives and maximum performance and reliability with SAS drives. An optional supercap/TFM unit protects cached data even in the event of serious system failures.
