The tripods of the Velbon GEO series have legs made of carbon fiber and basalt, a unique composite material that adds strength and rigidity. They have clip leg locks (E series) for quick leg extension, and each leg has adjustable feet. A quick-release centre column allows fast height adjustment; the two-section column can be removed for low-angle shots, for example in macro photography.

GEO tripods are supplied with a multi-purpose bag that can be carried on the shoulder or used as extra ballast for the tripod in windy conditions.
