AJA 12GM 12G-SDI to/from SDI Muxer/Demuxer

The AJA 12GM is a compact SDI transport Mini-Converter that converts 12G-SDI to quad-link 3G-SDI and quad-link 3G-SDI to 12G-SDI. The muxer/demuxer supports 4K, UltraHD, 2K, HD and SD workflows, converting between quad-link, dual-link and single-link signals at 12G, 6G, 3G and 1.5G rates, including dual-stream formats. Both Square Division (Quadrant) and Two Sample Interleave (2SI) mappings are supported on input and output.

It also converts between 3G-SDI Level A and Level B Dual-Link, performs simple frame rate conversion between fractional and integer rates, and passes or overrides HDR signaling metadata. Embedded audio is passed through (24-bit, up to 16 channels), including AC-3, E-AC-3 and Dolby Atmos (DD+ JOC). The unit can work as a 1x4 distribution amplifier and offers input diagnostics with a timing analyzer for validating the alignment of quad-link inputs. It is configured via USB with AJA Mini-Config software.

Notes

• The 12GM uses convection cooling and runs very warm to the touch: install it where it has access to air and do not stack it with other Mini-Converters
