AJA ADA4 4-Channel Bidirectional Audio A/D and D/A Converter
The AJA ADA4 is a 4-channel audio converter that can be configured as a 4-channel A/D, a 4-channel D/A, a combined 2-channel A/D and 2-channel D/A, or an AES synchronizer. It converts up to four channels of balanced analog audio to AES/EBU and vice versa, with 24-bit converters at 48 or 96 kHz and sample rate conversion between 96 kHz and 48 kHz.
For synchronization the ADA4 accepts an AES11, wordclock or video sync/color black reference; reference detection and synchronization are automatic, with a passive looping reference and a separate full-time low-jitter AES11 sync output. Channel direction and audio levels are set quickly with easy-to-reach DIP switches, and a breakout cable with XLR connectors is supplied.
