AJA FS1-X Frame Synchronizer and Converter FS1-X-R0

The AJA FS1-X is a frame synchronizer and converter in a compact 1RU chassis, combining a wide range of video and audio connectivity and processing for broadcast, mobile and post-production environments. It works with 3G-SDI 10-bit broadcast quality video and handles embedded audio, AES, MADI and analog audio. AJA conversion algorithms provide up, down and cross-conversion between SD and HD, and the factory installed motion adaptive Frame Rate Converter (FRC) option converts between different frame rate families for international standards support.

For audio, FS1-X supports 64-channel MADI input and output over both fiber and coax, and an internal 224 x 224 audio matrix routes MADI and all audio from SDI, fiber, AES and analog sources. A dedicated keyer configuration allows sidebar keying: when SD is converted to HD, a second signal fills the sides of the 16:9 frame instead of black bars.
