AJA FS2 Dual Channel 3G/HD/SD Frame Synchronizer and Converter
The AJA FS2 offers dual-channel conversion and frame synchronization in a slim 1RU chassis: it can do the work of two separate devices or combine both processors for maximum flexibility. It works simultaneously with two independent streams of 3G/HD/SD 10-bit broadcast quality video and two independent groups of multi-channel audio, and each video channel supports analog component or composite, 3G-SDI, Dual Link, fiber and HDMI I/O. Each channel can be cropped and resized, and the two channels can be linked with the internal keyer, for example for HD sidebar keying.
Conversion includes SD/HD up and down-conversion, SD aspect ratio conversion and HD cross-conversion (720p/1080i), with full input and output routing so any I/O port can be assigned to either channel. Two audio processors each handle 16 channels of AES/EBU, 16 channels of embedded audio and 8 channels of balanced analog audio. The optional fiber I/O allows cable runs of up to 10 km directly to the FS2. The unit is network ready, with SNMP monitoring, web-based remote control, saved configurations and GPI triggers, and has dual redundant power supplies.
