AJA OG-FiDO-4R-12G

AJA OG-FiDO-4R-12G is a four-channel single-mode LC fiber to 12G-SDI receiver card for openGear frames, part of the OG-FiDO-4 family of high-density SDI/fiber converters for broadcast, production, sports, live events, house of worship, campus installations and Pro AV. It receives four independent single mode LC fiber signals and converts them to four 12G-SDI BNC outputs, using two AJA FIBERLC-2RX-12G SFP modules.

All four SDI BNC connections are independent and fully isolated, so different supported SDI data rates can be carried at the same time. Automatic data rate detection and reclocking maintain signal integrity, and SDI ancillary data, including HDR metadata, passes transparently. Each card occupies two openGear slots, allowing up to 40 SDI/fiber channels in one frame; status is monitored remotely with openGear DashBoard and locally with the Input Present and SMPTE Lock LEDs. In a typical AJA workflow, 12G-SDI camera or production signals travel over single mode fiber for distances up to 10 km, with AJA FiDO Mini-Converters providing the corresponding conversion at the other end.

Notes

• The OG-FiDO-4 family has nine configurations; in the 12G single mode group this card is the single-mode LC fiber to 12G-SDI receiver, alongside the transmitter (T) and 2 Tx/2 Rx (X) versions. T = transmitter (SDI to fiber), R = receiver (fiber to SDI), X = 2 Tx/2 Rx.
• An openGear frame is required and sold separately; the card uses two frame slots.
