AJA OG-FiDO-4X-MM

AJA OG-FiDO-4X-MM is a four-channel 3G-SDI/multi-mode LC fiber transceiver, 2 Tx/2 Rx card for openGear frames, part of the OG-FiDO-4 family of high-density SDI/fiber converters for broadcast, production, sports, live events, house of worship, campus installations and Pro AV. It combines two 3G-SDI-to-fiber transmit paths and two fiber-to-3G-SDI receive paths on a single card for simultaneous bidirectional conversion, using one AJA FIBERLC-2TX-MM and one AJA FIBERLC-2RX-MM SFP module.

All four SDI BNC connections are independent and fully isolated, so different supported SDI data rates can be carried at the same time. Automatic data rate detection and reclocking maintain signal integrity, and SDI ancillary data, including HDR metadata, passes transparently. Each card occupies two openGear slots, allowing up to 40 SDI/fiber channels in one frame; status is monitored remotely with openGear DashBoard and locally with the Input Present and SMPTE Lock LEDs. At the other end of the fiber link, AJA fiber products for the same fiber type, such as the FiDO Mini-Converters, provide the corresponding conversion.

Notes

• The OG-FiDO-4 family has nine configurations; in the 3G multi-mode group this card is the 3G-SDI/multi-mode LC fiber transceiver, 2 Tx/2 Rx, alongside the four-channel transmitter (T) and receiver (R) versions. T = transmitter (SDI to fiber), R = receiver (fiber to SDI), X = 2 Tx/2 Rx.
• An openGear frame is required and sold separately; the card uses two frame slots.
