AJA ROI-SDI 3G-SDI to 3G-SDI/HDMI Scan Converter with Region of Interest Scaling
ROI-SDI is a scan converter that extracts a Region of Interest from a 3G-SDI input to mirrored 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs in a portable form factor, with image scaling, aspect ratio conversion and audio functions. Source signals can be rotated, a portion of the image customised or the source reframed. A direct 3G-SDI loop-through lets it sit in-line, and the reference input locks the 3G-SDI output for use throughout a production or facility. 8-channel embedded audio from the SDI input is routed to the 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs, and a stereo RCA output is available for simple monitoring.
Connected via USB to a computer running the free Mini-Config application, it lets you select the Region of Interest interactively and control how it is scaled to the output resolution with AJA's scaling algorithms, with on-screen controls showing the incoming and outgoing formats. The Mini-Converter is small enough to fit behind a monitor, in a rack or on a camera rig, with a locking power connector and optional P-TAP battery power.
