AJA UDC-4K 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 Up/Down/Cross-Converter with Frame Sync
The AJA UDC-4K is a broadcast-quality up/down/cross Mini-Converter that converts between 4K/UHD and 2K/HD formats. Besides raster and frame rate conversion it works as a frame synchronizer and as a 1x4 12G-SDI distribution amplifier, with video formats up to 4Kp60, and it converts 12G-SDI to HDMI 2.0 and vice versa. Utility frame rate conversion handles 59.94 to 50/60 and 50/60 to 59.94.
It has 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs, four 12G-SDI outputs and one HDMI 2.0 output, with SDI and HDMI loop outputs, and can lock to an external reference or to the SDI or HDMI input. Processing is 12-bit with AJA multi-tap polyphase scaling and a motion adaptive deinterlacer, and HDR signaling (SDI VPID and HDMI InfoFrame) can be passed or overridden. It is configured with the built-in buttons and color LCD or with the free AJA Mini-Config software via USB-C.
