KONA XM is a 4-lane PCIe 3.0 video I/O card for medical video systems that need the lowest latency and deterministic performance for real-time visualisation, analysis and intervention. It has two 12G-SDI BNC connectors and two full-size HDMI 2.0 ports, one input and one output per interface. Its DMA architecture supports GPUDirect RDMA, transferring video directly between host memory and hardware accelerators for as low as sub-frame delay on processed output.

KONA XM is the recommended video I/O solution for the NVIDIA IGX edge AI platform and integrates with NVIDIA Holoscan, to apply real-time AI overlays to live video in medical devices. It has been tested to the IEC 60601-1-2 EMI/ESD standards for medical device components. OEM applications are developed on Windows and Linux with the AJA SDK. This KONA-XM-F-R0 model uses active cooling with a fan.
