AJA OG-ROI-HDMI openGear HDMI to 3G-SDI Scan Converter with Region of Interest Scaling
OG-ROI-HDMI is an openGear card that converts computer and HDMI signals to 3G-SDI baseband video, with Region of Interest image scaling and aspect ratio and frame rate conversion, for bringing extractions from HDMI sources and computer signals into video workflows. Audio can come from two channels of balanced analogue audio on 3-pin terminal blocks or from 8 channels embedded in the HDMI input, and is embedded into the SDI output.
In the free Ross DashBoard application a Region of Interest can be selected interactively from the incoming signal, removing interface clutter and menu bars, and scaled to the output resolution with AJA's scaling algorithms. Aspect ratio, image rotation and frame rate conversion are controlled on screen, with DashBoard showing the incoming formats and the output settings. Several cards in one frame can feed synchronised video walls, for example nine SDI monitors, or side-by-side portrait displays using the HDMI pass-through. The card is designed for high-density openGear 2RU frames, including AJA's OG-X-FR, and is monitored and controlled with Ross DashBoard software on Windows, macOS and Linux, from a connected computer or over the local network.
