Aurora Bounce & Focus changes the position of the light source from direct to indirect and lets you vary its distance from the light modifier along a central rod. With the flash head mounted on Bounce & Focus and attached to an Aurora softbox, the light hits the reflective fabric and bounces back towards the subject, giving softer light than a direct source. The L version has a 120 cm rod and comes with the adapter ring for Aurora/Bowens flash heads.

By sliding the central rod in or out you change the intensity, spread and diffusion of the light. In the close position the reflection is concentrated in the centre of the softbox, with maximum contrast and intensity (about 1.5 stops more than the extended position); in the middle position light is reflected by most of the inner surface, giving the softest light; in the extended position reflection takes place at the front of the softbox, for very diffused, low-contrast light. It works with medium and large Aurora softboxes and is especially suited to the TERA-D parabolic softboxes. A sandbag counterweight is included to balance large softboxes.
