The Billingham 307 belongs to the 7 Series, the evolution of the 6 Series with improved weather resistance and equipment protection. The bags are made of FibreNyte, an evolution of StormBlock canvas that is stronger and lighter, with a double rain flap and a waterproof inner insert. The flap closes with the proven Quick Release system, with wider straps that are easier to grip in difficult conditions.
The leather harness around the bag is sewn to the fabric to reinforce the stress points, and the attachment of the Delta shoulder strap has been reversed to improve stability and prevent the bag from rolling and tipping when fully loaded. Loops on the harness take rucksack straps, so the bag can be carried on the back. The full-length rear zip pocket is protected by an extension of the rain flap.
Access to the equipment has been improved: once the double-slider main zip is open, two carbon fibre stays form a rectangular frame across the full width of the compartment. The series also introduces a barcode that makes the supply chain of the bag and each component traceable. This version is in sage green FibreNyte with chocolate leather trim and brass fittings.
