The Billingham Hadley Small Pro has exactly the same internal dimensions as the Hadley Small, with some important extra features: a top handle fully covered in leather for comfort, a removable and adjustable shoulder strap, a trolley strap and a rear document pocket with rain-proof zip. It keeps the best features of the Hadley Small: a removable padded insert for the camera equipment, so the bag can also be used as an elegant briefcase, a very high level of water resistance, full-grain leather trim and adjustable front pockets. It is made in England.
The padded insert, in high-density foam, protects against knocks on all sides, including the flap. It has two removable vertical dividers and two removable horizontal dividers for lenses, and is fixed inside the bag with a press stud. The outer fabric has three layers, two layers of fabric bonded by a layer of butyl rubber, so it never needs re-proofing, and the top flap is shaped over the opening so that even slanting rain cannot reach the equipment.
Small on the outside but roomier inside than it looks, it can safely carry two rangefinder cameras (e.g. Leica M10 and M9 with lenses attached), a mirrorless camera (e.g. Fujifilm X-Pro2, Lumix GH5 or Olympus OM-D E-M1) with 2 or 3 medium lenses, or a mid-size DSLR without battery grip (e.g. Canon 5D Mk IV with 24-70 mm f/2.8 attached plus a 24-105 mm).
