BirdDog 4K QUAD NDI Encoder/Decoder BD4KQUAD

BirdDog 4K QUAD is the four-channel model of the 4K Family, built around BirdDog's custom NDI silicon and housed in an aircraft-grade aluminium case. Its four 12G-SDI connectors can each be set as input or output, so the unit can encode and decode Full NDI up to 4Kp60, including all HD formats; with the latest firmware it supports 4x encode, 4x decode or 2x2 configurations.

The SFP+ cage supports fibre or copper connections from 1GbE to 10GbE (SFP+ modules sold separately) and the Gigabit RJ45 port supports PoE+. An integrated bi-colour tally light, selectable tally borders on the loop outputs, a 4-line OLED status display, the BirdDog Comms audio intercom and the RESTful API complete the feature set. Unlike 4K HDMI and 4K SDI, QUAD has no cross converter.
