MAKI Ultra is a compact NDI HX3 camera from BirdDog with 4K60 capture and a 1/2.8" CMOS sensor; this model has a 20x optical zoom. Its small footprint makes it suited to unusual angles and POV shots, for example at eSports events or on a band rig. A ToF sensor and advanced algorithms give fast, accurate autofocus with moving subjects, and eight physical buttons on the side provide direct access to zoom, focus, brightness, menu, image freeze and mode switching.
Besides NDI HX2/HX3 and RTMP over the network, it offers baseband HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDI outputs and a USB-C port that works as a UVC webcam with Zoom, Teams, Google Meet and other conferencing platforms. The HALO tally shows clearly which camera is on air. It can be powered by PoE (802.3af) or 12 V DC, and controlled via VISCA, VISCA over IP, NDI and RS-485.
