This USB cable by Delock connects a device with a USB Type-C connector to a PC or laptop equipped with a free USB Type-C port. As an active optical cable it uses optical fibre to transmit high-speed signals: compared to a traditional copper cable it is softer, thinner and lighter, and it can transmit signals over longer distances without loss.

It can connect a USB-C monitor with a resolution of up to 8K (7680 x 4320 @ 60 Hz) to a computer with a USB-C port and DisplayPort Alternate Mode support; with a docking station running DisplayPort and USB 10 Gbps at the same time, 3840 x 2160 @ 120 Hz is possible. It transfers data at up to 10 Gbps, USB 2.0 devices can also be connected, and USB Power Delivery supplies up to 60 W (20 V / 3 A).
