The Earthworks IMB30 belongs to the IMB Series of boundary microphones, designed for permanent installation in ceilings and tabletops for conferencing and other speech applications. Optimised for speech, it has a flat frequency response up to 30 kHz for high intelligibility, and its near-perfect omnidirectional pattern across all frequencies gives wide coverage, so fewer microphones, DSP channels and cables are needed to cover a room. A dedicated filter significantly reduces low-frequency table thumps, HVAC noise and paper shuffling.

The microphone is discreet: its flange measures 36.5 mm wide and 3.2 mm tall and mounts flush into the tabletop or ceiling. It works with all DSP systems that provide 24-48 V phantom power.
