Earthworks QTC50mp Matched Pair Omni Recording Microphones
The Earthworks QTC50mp is a matched pair of low-noise omnidirectional recording microphones designed for quieter sources. Its ultra-wide bandwidth extends the frequency response up to 50 kHz. The near-perfect omnidirectional polar pattern is uniform across all specified frequencies, capturing consistent detail at any position around the capsule, and the extended 3 Hz - 50 kHz ruler-flat frequency response gives an accurate, uncoloured representation of the original sound.
The QTC50 is time coherent, capturing high and low frequencies without phase errors that would smear transients. With a 140 dB SPL rating it has ample headroom, and since there is no proximity effect it can be placed as close to the source as needed. It is suited to vocals, strings and distant-miked orchestras or choirs, and also to drum overheads, close-miked wind and percussion instruments and foley.
