Earthworks SR40V Hypercardioid Handheld Vocal Microphone
The Earthworks SR40V is a handheld vocal microphone designed for live performance, with circuitry hand-matched to its capsule for natural clarity, presence and depth on vocals. Its near-perfect hypercardioid pattern is consistent across all frequencies, simplifying placement, giving more gain before feedback and virtually eliminating phasing issues with multiple microphones, while singers keep freedom of movement. The clean on-axis response keeps vocals intelligible up to 90 degrees off axis, and more than 30 dB of rear rejection reduces noise and feedback from the room, nearby instruments and stage monitors. It handles up to 145 dB SPL without distortion, with a fast transient response and an extended frequency range.
