The Genelec 8340A is a two-way active studio monitor with a 6 1/2" woofer and Class D bi-amplification, capable of very high sound pressure levels. A reflex port extends the low-frequency response, the Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) delivers colour-free accuracy and the Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) ensures precision both on- and off-axis.

It belongs to the Smart Active Monitoring (SAM) family: with the Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software all monitor settings can be adjusted, and AutoCal compensates for detrimental room influences to calibrate the system to the listening environment, from stereo to immersive audio. It is suited to recording studios, post-production houses, digital edit suites, radio, TV and outside broadcasting.
