The Laowa 15mmR f/4.5 Zero-D Shift is currently the widest shift lens for full-frame cameras on the market. With up to ±11 mm of shift it is ideal for architecture and interiors: even the tallest buildings can be captured with easy perspective control, and the field of view can be extended by stitching. The huge 65 mm image circle - larger than that of the Canon TS-E 17mm f/4L - also allows up to ±8 mm of shift on medium-format cameras such as Fujifilm GFX and Hasselblad X1D without vignetting. This version has the Canon EF mount. The R version (red ring) differs from the previous one (blue ring) in its 14 aperture blades: point light sources render as softer, less distracting 14-point stars, and out-of-focus backgrounds give pleasant bokeh.

Part of the Laowa Zero Distortion series, its optical design of 17 elements in 11 groups with 2 aspherical and 3 low-dispersion elements reduces distortion virtually to zero from corner to corner, while the coating improves control of chromatic aberration, flare and ghosting. It focuses as close as 20 cm for near-macro shots. The shift mechanism rotates through 360° with a click stop every 15°, for shifting in both horizontal and vertical orientation, and the 14-blade aperture renders 14-point sunstars. A dedicated shift support (tripod collar) and filter holder are available.
