The Laowa Nanomorph 27mm T2.8 belongs to a series of very small and light anamorphic lenses designed for Super35 and Micro Four Thirds cameras. With a constant 1.5x squeeze across the whole focus range it delivers a 2.66:1 image on a 16:9 sensor after de-squeezing, leaving room to crop to 2.4:1 widescreen, together with oval bokeh and horizontal flares.

Laowa's patented optical layout (spherical group, focusing system, cylindrical group, spherical group) forms and focuses the image before the cylindrical elements, so the squeeze ratio stays the same at close focus and faces do not stretch. The silver flare is neutral in colour and changes tint with the light source. The cine housing has a unified focus ring position, 0.8 mod gears on focus and aperture rings, imperial and metric scales and adjustable back focus. Nikon Z mount; on the mirrorless versions the mount can be swapped with optional mounts sold separately.
