The Laowa Nanomorph 50mm T2.4 belongs to a series of very small and light anamorphic lenses (27mm T2.8, 35mm T2.4 and 50mm T2.4) designed for Super35 and Micro Four Thirds cameras, with mirrorless versions under 400 g and about 10 cm long, light enough for handheld, gimbal, slider, jib and even drone use. With a constant 1.5x squeeze across the focus range it delivers 2.66:1 on a 16:9 sensor after de-squeezing, leaving room to crop to 2.4:1, with oval bokeh and horizontal flares.

Laowa's patented optical layout forms and focuses the image before the cylindrical elements, so the squeeze ratio stays the same at close focus and faces do not stretch. This version has the traditional blue flare, suited to sci-fi and cool moods. The cine housing has a unified focus ring position, 0.8 mod gears on focus and aperture rings, imperial and metric scales and adjustable back focus. Sony E mount; on the mirrorless versions the mount can be swapped with optional mounts sold separately.
