The Laowa 58mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO is a macro lens designed for mirrorless cameras, with a 40.9° angle of view on full-frame sensors. It reaches up to 2x magnification while still focusing to infinity, so the same lens covers everything from tiny insects to larger subjects and can also be used for portraits, product photography or as an everyday lens.

The apochromatic design suppresses longitudinal and lateral chromatic aberration in both in-focus and out-of-focus areas, keeping purple fringing and ghosting to a minimum and reducing post-processing time. 3 ED and 3 ultra-high refractive index elements deliver high sharpness, the short flange distance keeps the lens compact (about ø74 x 117 mm, 595 g), and 13 aperture blades give smooth bokeh. Internal focusing avoids contact between lens and subject and reduces dust ingress.
